Alexander Melle (Dipl.-Ing.) studied Electrical Engineering, specializing in Microelectronics & Data Technology at the Technical University of Darmstadt. After successfully managing the Konnexionen GmbH focussing on network technology, he joined Hyatt International as Director of Information Systems.
He was directly responsible for the Information Technology for the German Hyatt Hotels. He worked internationally, opened 11 new Hyatt Hotels throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East, where he planned the IT related set up of the hotel as well as on site installations and support. Of the projects he was responsible during his time with Hyatt, the implementation of a data center as well as the introduction of a central IT help desk are considered as the most challenging and most successful.After nearly a decade of field experience in IT operations in hospitality he founded MELLEX in 2007.

Understanding the hotel industry and being well versed in all internal procedures in a hotel, Alexander discovered the need for a specialised software for Engineering. Soon after the first scribbles, SAMFEX was born. SAMFEX currently improves service & maintenance management in hotels from 120 to 600 rooms, assisting the Engineering Teams in their daily work.
The MELLEX Team codes in C, Cocoa, Ruby, .net and Java for major Operating Systems like MS Windows, OSX, iOS, Linux and Android.
